Definition of the mole
One mole of atoms are $ 6.023 \cdot 10^{23} $ atoms
One mole of molecules are $ 6.023 \cdot 10^{23} $ molecules
If $ n $ denotes the number of moles of atoms, then
Number of atoms = $ n \cdot 6.023 \cdot 10^{23} $
If $ n $ is the number of moles of molecules, then
Number of molecules = $ n \cdot 6.023 \cdot 10^{23} $
     How many moles of atoms $ Hg $ are $ 6.023 \cdot 10^{22} $ atoms of mercury?

       $n$ $=$ $\frac{number \;of\;atoms}{6.023\cdot 10^{23}}$ $=$ $\frac{6.023\cdot 10^{22}}{6.023\cdot 10^{23}}$ $=$ $0.1 \;mol$
